IS TIME A PROBLEM — OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE??

My daily routine comprises of a busy schedule on some days. These are when I have univeristy and office both together. So on these days, I have to go university and be there at about half past 8 in the morning, then the classes go on till 5pm and then coming back home it takes about half an hour of commute.

Then I sleep as fast as I humanly can and try to make sure that I get as much sleep as possible in these few hours because then I have to wake up for my job. Its a huge blessing to have a remote job. I remember the days when this job was on-site and I used to be devastated mentally due to lack of rest.

So after squeezing in hopes of complete rest in 3 hours of sleep, I wake up at 9 and clock in to my job. Now since this is remote, I get the ideal chance to use the break and the free idle time to my use.

Sometimes when I feel like there is nothing pending or there is no requirement of any task to be completed, I don't bother doing anyting, however that seldom occurs.

Mostly, just like right now, I am preoccupied mentally by some pending task or work of my own. That hovers over me until I have dealt with it. Keeps me stressed until its done. You know that saying;

You are stressed because you have work to do and decisions to make

Hence I continue my night shift till 6am in the morning. Some of the office work does seep into my day, that would include meetings, something urgent that comes up and needs to be resolved right away. But mostly the office is confined to these 9 hours.

I feel the need to mention here all this, not to boast that I am hardworking than many. I have been told that enough times that makes it sound not impressive anymore. So, NO the reasons to write about all this here is quite simple.

There is this dilemma in my own mind that does not leave me to rest, even on days when I am supposed to be at rest by all means necessary. It keeps me awake. It keeps me restless. The dilemma is this.

I want to train for a world record. I want to also write blogs like these endlessly, more than that I want to be able to read and devour a thousand words. I want to create value in my business by giving time to it. I want to improve the ideas I work on, run marketing campaigns with my buddy. I want to learn calisthenics, resume gymnastics, master Taekwondo martial arts the one that I learnt as a kid. I want to spend time with my family, girlfriend, my friends and most importantly - myself.

I have a small heart filled with so many things I know that I am capable of, and many others that I am desirous of that sometimes this question comes up that are these 24 hours enough for me in a single day or not. I mean there should be more to me and my existence than just mere job, degree and the rush of money backed by greed and lust.

So it comes to my mind that is time really the problem here or is it something else? Is it something more intrinsic? Something at a personal level that I need to understand in order to finally be at peace with my progress. Because when someone sees my life from their perspective, they see growth and impressive one for that matter.

But all I see is stagnation. I see a bizarre vibration of mine, like some weird oscillation around the same place where I was well before. When I start re-accounting my life, I realize I have travelled far and beyond what my actual aims were ever.

But this one pain in the heart is very annoying. It makes my focus deviate from what I am doing in the moment and I am no longer in the present

So I come to the conclusion through a line of a Robin Williams movie that goes like this;

show me a heart unfettered with foolish dreams and I will give you a happy man.

but in dreams is a man truly happy, it was always thus and always will be.

So looking at the this statement, I come to realize that all the things that I want to pursue are not exactly goals, some are nothing but foolish dreams. and the happiness lies in realizing what is truly worth the time out of all that I have in this very short life of mine.
